On our third full day in Kruger National Park, South Africa, we moved from the Shingwedzi Rest Camp to the Letaba Rest Camp. Along the way, we came upon a dark chanting goshawk by the side of the road. It let us approach slowly to get a few images, and a slender mongoose crossed the road really close to it. We moved up even closer to the goshawk, and that gave us some much better images (above).
