On our second full day in Kruger National Park, South Africa, we found a very cooperative white-fronted bee-eater near the Shingwedzi Rest Camp. Bee-eaters eat various kinds of insects, not just bees, and they capture them on the wing. After we had photographed the white-fronted bee-eater on a nice perch, it flew away to catch a butterfly and then returned to its perch where we were able to photograph it.
