I photographed this female impala in Hluhluwe Games Reserve, South Africa, this past March. Impala probably aren't at the top of anyone's favorite-photo-subject list, but I enjoy photographing them, especially when the conditions are right. Here, the background is practically perfect. It's mostly uniform and has a similar color as the impala, so while the impala really stands out, there is a sense that it's in a good habitat for concealment.
