Yesterday was my second day in Yellowstone National Park, and I couldn't believe this Sandhill Crane. It was literally right by the side of the road, like within a foot of the pavement. It must like having its picture taken because it was in the same location the day before when I saw several people standing within 10 ft of it and photographing it with their point-and-shoots. The light was much better yesterday morning when I stopped across the road and photographed it from the car.

10 feet is a tad close to one of these. That bill could poke something outta you in a hurry!
