I'm so glad to be doing some winter photography — photography with snow that is. I'm in Grand Teton National Park, and boy do they have snow! The roads are lined with walls of snow between three and six feet (0.9 and 1.8m) high. Because the temperatures are varying between the low 20s (-5°C) at night and the low 40s (5°C) during the day, the snow has a nice hard crust in the morning which makes it easy to get out away from the road. There was some decent color on the Tetons yesterday morning, but my favorite image of the day is of this lone evergreen near a meandering stream.
