Jan and I arrived in the Bisti Wilderness of northwest New Mexico yesterday as the clouds were moving in. We went to a famous area for sunset, but because there were already two other people there, I turned around and headed somewhere else. I found a nice composition with some clouds, then waited for them to light up. The clouds to the west developed an incredible orange, but the clouds to the northeast in my composition never did light up. I changed compositions after the I knew the color wasn't going to happen, and made this image about half an hour after sunset. Enjoy!
