Success! I had learned about a Grizzly Bear (Ursus arctos horribilis) sow with three COYs (cubs of the year), or spring cubs, before arriving in Yellowstone, and I really looked forward to finding them. I searched for them off and on since getting here, but as far as I knew, no one else had been seeing them either. Two days ago I heard a report that they were back out, so I concentrated on finding them. After a long wait yesterday afternoon after I just missed them, they came back out and put on a great show! These COYs are much smaller than the ones I photographed four days ago which makes them that much cuter. It's always a challenge to get a good image of multiple wildlife subjects, so I was thrilled when they practically lined up for me as they made their way back to their mother. Enjoy!
