So far, I've mostly been scouting for fall color in the eastern Sierra, and have found that the aspen are in widely different states. Some are still green with hardly a hint that they're about to change and some are past peak already. The trees that are near peak are in very small groves and most don't excite me. This lone aspen trunk, surrounded by yellow leaves in the Inyo National Forest, did catch my eye though. Enjoy!
