Here's another intimate scene from my recent visit to the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. I had photographed this particular area on a previous visit looking the other direction to emphasize the hook in the upper left. This time I started working the hook from a different perspective and discovered the wonderful zig zag and overall "X" shape.
