Mt. Rundle from Vermilion Lakes at sunset is a popular place for photographers, which is why I haven't been there for quite some time. I went there last night because the clouds looked promising and I wanted to try a different composition than I've used before. At first I was disappointed with the scum that was on the lakes, but I found a location where the scum wasn't too bad and set up to wait for the light show. Some color developed on the clouds, but it wasn't very exciting. The clouds were still nice, so I waited to see what would develop. About 15 minutes after peak color, I made this image and like the way the clouds fill in the sky.
