Yesterday was a day of rebuilding trust with the Swift Foxes (Vulpes velox) after they had had an unpleasant experience with other visitors. The dog, or male, was out when I arrived yesterday morning and didn't mind me slowly moving to where I had been before. He kept a pretty low profile, and felt comfortable "hiding" behind the grass by the den (above). The vixen also poked her head up briefly, an indication that the whole family is still at the den and he's not just a decoy.
