The Black Bear (Ursus americanus) sow and her three cubs of the year, or spring cubs, put on a good show yesterday afternoon. For about 20 minutes before I made this image, the adventurous cub (pictured) followed its mother around while she grazed and the other cubs were up a tree. In the image, the cub is asking its mother when it gets to eat. About 15 minutes after I made this image, the sow called the other cubs down from the tree and they nursed in a great location.
