I like Horned Larks because the males have a wonderful yellow and black head and interesting black "horns." I concentrated on photographing them for the past few days at Antelope Island State Park, and finally got some images that I really like yesterday morning. They spend most of their time on the ground, so one way to get relatively low vantage point while shooting from a vehicle is to photograph them on a rise and with a long lens. The bright overcast for this image was perfect!
