Jan and I have moved over to Gold Butte near Lake Mead in Nevada so we can explore more of this area which is new to us. Yesterday afternoon, we went to an area where the red sandstone was covered with salt and I loved the contrasting colors. It was almost like photographing red rock with snow. It was mostly clear when we arrived, but shortly before sunset, some clouds moved over and I was able to take advantage of them.
