Elk Calf at Dawn in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

I've had a couple of very colorful sunrises here in Yellowstone National Park — the kind I could have used when I was just in Grand Teton National park. Unfortunately, the landscape in the northern part of the park has confounded me for years when trying to make grand scenics, mainly because there are few features that speak to me, and I haven't been able to figure out good compositions for those that do. Yesterday morning, I was finally able to take advantage of the colorful sky by capturing an elk calf on the horizon.
