This patch of moss jumped out at me on my first trip up Stony Pass about a week ago. The bright, almost fluorescent, green is quite different than the darker greens that fill the valley above tree line. Yesterday evening, the solid cloud cover provided nice even light to photograph the moss. I used the tilt motion of my 90mm Tilt/Shift lens to align the plane of focus along the moss mounds and a polarizer to reduce the reflections off the wet moss.
