I photographed this Badger in Custer State Park last October. I think Badgers are cool and I don't get to photograph them enough, so when I do it's a real treat. We were driving slowly by a Black-Tailed Prairie Dog town in the middle of the morning and I was surprised to see a badger out and digging. After quickly grabbing some shots from the car, the badger went down a hole. I set up on my tripod close to ground level and waited. About half an hour later, the badger came back out and continued digging as shown in the image.
