Dwarf Mongoose Sparring

There's much more than the Big Five (elephant, rhinoceros, cape buffalo, lion, and leopard) to photograph in Africa. I love watching and photographing mongoose, and dwarf mongoose are usually cooperative subjects. We stopped to photograph a group of dwarf mongoose in Kruger National Park, South Africa, this past March, and these two started to spar with each other. This is my favorite image from the sequence because the animals are in the same plane, both heads are completely visible, and they're in a similar stance.
