Yesterday morning in Jasper National Park, not too far from the Jasper townsite, we stopped to photograph a nice bull elk with his small harem. After a while, a slightly smaller bull elk came, and the two bulls began sparring. They seemed to be cautiously testing each other instead of really going at it, but it kept them occupied for about ten minutes.
