On our second trip out to The Wings in the Bisti Wilderness, the clouds finally lit up at sunset! We had hoped to get clouds with fantastic color on our first visit to Bisti in March 2009 and on our first trek out to The Wings on this visit, but this was the first time we had gotten spectacular color. While we had gotten nice color in March 2009, it was nothing like this time. It sure pays to return to a great location time and time again until conditions are great for photography. Plus, if you do take the time to work different compositions before the light arrives, then you'll be able to quickly take advantage of the light when it finally does arrive.
