We returned to Secret Falls yesterday afternoon because the clouds looked promising. When we arrived, the clouds were nice and I set up with a wide-angle composition to include a lot of sky. As the sun set, the clouds started to develop color and fortunately the clouds were still in the right place. The color kept getting better and better until I made this image.

Lee Foundation Kit

It was a costly image because my Lee ProGlass 3-stop neutral density filter slipped out of the Lee Foundation Kit filter holder while the color on the clouds was intensifying and split in two when it hit the ground. I kept shooting with the longest shutter speed I could get without the 3-stop ND filter, and after the color had peaked I looked at the holder to see why the filter was so loose. I discovered that my fantastic, space-saving way of storing two adaptors in the filter slots of the Foundation Kit had deformed the springs so they didn't put much pressure on the filters. :( When I got home, I borrowed two guide rail sets from the SW150 filter holder and will replace those as soon as I can obtain new guide rails.
