One of my favorite animals in southern Arizona is the White-Nosed Coati (Nasua narica), mostly just called a Coati because that's the only kind found in North America. They're slightly larger than a raccoon and are usually less skittish around humans. This guy had a bad right-front paw, but he was still able to climb up into a tree for a nice portrait.
