Sandstone Column in South Coyote Buttes, Vermillion Cliffs National Monument, Arizona

This image of a sandstone column in the northern part of South Coyote Buttes in Vermillion Cliffs National Monument is very different from most of my images because it was shot at the "normal" focal length of 50mm in the middle of the afternoon. I was drawn to the interesting formation and I couldn't resist photographing it with the wonderful puffy clouds in the background. A polarizer helped reduce reflections on the formation and darken the sky to add some pop to the image.
