Swift Fox Vixen And Kits in the Pawnee National Grassland, Colorado

It's a lot of fun to photograph the Swift Foxes in the Pawnee National Grassland, especially when the kits are just starting to explore the world. In this image taken back in June, the vixen is nursing one kit, one kit appears to be resting under the vixen, and another kit is climbing on the vixen. She was a great mom to patiently deal with all of the shenanigans.
