We headed up to Stoney Pass yesterday evening and it started to rain on our way up. We waited, and waited, and waited. The rain finally stopped, and the clouds were nice. Unfortunately, it was too windy to include close-ups of flowers, so I photographed grand scenics showing the general area. In this image, I noticed the cloud in the upper left moving into a nice position beyond the tarn, so I set up to photograph the sun right as it set. The 24-105 zoom, like most zooms, doesn't have as clean a starburst as a prime lens because of all the extra elements which create more internal reflections.
