Photography is all about planning and luck. Yesterday morning I set up at my favorite pre-sunrise spot and the clouds were quite cooperative. I was initially disappointed when another photographer arrived and was shooting such that I would have been in his picture if I had gone to the sunrise spot I had in mind. So, I just stayed at the pre-sunrise spot and I was glad I did. The clouds continued to cooperate, and when the sun crested the horizon, the Sulphur Paintbrush in the foreground started to glow — magnificent!
