Swift Fox Kits in the Pawnee National Grassland, Colorado

Here's another Swift Fox image from our recent visit to the Pawnee National Grassland. Kits are a lot of fun to watch and photograph when they're playing.

I had hoped to post some images from our last two days in the Pawnee, but we were skunked. We only saw the vixen briefly on the morning of our last full day and didn't see any foxes at all on our last evening. We didn't even try to photograph the foxes on our last morning because the wind was blowing so hard. It was a disappointing way to end our stay, but it was a productive stay and we'll be back for more in the future.
