I hiked out to Ross Lake yesterday morning, and it was a blast. I haven't been on a decent hike in years, and it was nice to get out and spend some time far from a road. Well, the first 2km (1.25 mi) was along a dirt road, then the trail went through a pine forest where the ground was covered with moss and several species of mushrooms and fungus. I photographed four species of mushrooms, and my favorite image is a detail of the cap of a dryad saddle. I used my 90 Tilt/Shift and an extension tube because I had left my 180 Macro in the car to lighten my pack.
