Yesterday we explored the road up to Skalkaho Pass in the Bitterroot National Forest in Montana. Skalkaho Falls is right by the road near the top of the pass. The main falls, are usually a bit messy with fallen trees across it, but there are lots of interesting detail images to be made. My favorite image is of a small section in the middle of the falls where there is a small section of rock covered with moss. I made the image with my Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM, and I really like that lens for intimate landscape images.
