We returned to Fern Falls in Coeur d'Alene National Forest again yesterday morning to work the scene some more with no breeze. I refined some compositions from previous visits including this image of some waterfalls over downed trees in Yellow Dog Creek. I had taken this composition twice on a previous visit. The first time I hadn't noticed that the polarizer was covered with spray which created a soft image and the second time was shortly after I had cleaned off the spray. Unfortunately, for the second image I adjusted the polarizer to minimize the reflection on the log and that left an odd blueish reflection on the foliage in the background. By going back and taking the image a third time, I finally got what I was after.
