Greater Kudu in Mountain Zebra National Park, South Africa

On our first full day in Mountain Zebra National Park, South Africa, we photographed mountain zebra drinking, black gnu, blesbok, red hartebeest, a group of Cape ground squirrels, and some common ostrich.

My favorite image of the day is of a greater kudu buck. These elk-sized animals have wonderfully spiraled horns, and they're the basis of the SANParks (South Africa National Parks) logo.
