We're back in the Alabama Hills of California, and I'm thoroughly enjoying the landscape! Last night I photographed this Scarlet Milkvetch (Astragalus coccineus), aka Scarlet Milk-Vetch or Scarlet Locoweed, among the rock formations. A hummingbird approached the area to feed, but quickly left after finding an interloper (me).
