Here's a favorite image from a drizzly morning in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in the Serengeti. A Spotted Hyena, or Spotted Hyaena, (Crocuta crocuta) was feeding at a young Blue Wildebeest or Brindled Gnu (Connochaetes taurinus) carcass, and wasn't happy when another hyena approached to feed.
