Golden Eagle, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA

This is one unusual Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos). I saw it for the first time three days ago when it was causing an eagle-jam by sitting right next to the road with lots of people nearby. It flew off to a nearby hillside, then walked up the sage-cover ground where I was able to photograph it from a respectable distance. I saw it again yesterday down along a creek, and by the time I had stopped and gotten set up, it was walking towards the road through the sagebrush. It stopped at the side of the road to look both ways before crossing, and that's when I made this image. Then it made a short flight across the road and walked up the sage-covered hillside.
