This is why I love the San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado in the fall — hillsides of yellow aspen and orange scrub oak lead up to the jagged snow-covered peaks. This is Mt. Sneffels, a Fourteener at 14,158 ft (4315m), at first light.
