Silhouetted Sandstone Formation At Dawn, Coyote Buttes Wilderness, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, Arizona

Here's an image I processed recently from the Coyote Buttes Wilderness in the Vermilion Cliffs National Monument. I was out in the field for sunrise every day we were there, but most times the clouds weren't very exciting, or were actually non-existent, so I had to work on Plan B. On this particular morning, the clouds looked promising for sunrise, but the formation I had planned to use for a foreground didn't work for these particular clouds. So, I scrambled for a nice foreground to use with the clouds, and settled on this dome-shaped formation because it fit nicely among the clouds.
