I've seen more coyotes on this trip than usual, but most haven't been very good subjects. This coyote, however, was a spectacular subject! I found it yesterday afternoon after it had snowed, and it was at a nice distance from the road in a flat area with sparse vegetation poking up through the snow. In this image, it's surrounded almost exclusively by snow so it really stands out.
