There was a nice, thin, textured cloud layer yesterday morning in Valley Of Fire State Park that was good for grand scenic images. I made this image shortly after sunrise, and in order to capture the range of light from the extremely bright sun to the relatively dark foreground, I made 5 exposures 1.5 stops apart. I combined the images by hand in Photoshop because the Lightroom HDR technique produced too much noise in the sky.
