Rocks at Sunset, Bandon Beach, Oregon, USA

I just love the compositional possibilities at Bandon Beach when the tide is out on the very flat beach. This small rock and its pool was a great foreground element to include with the larger sea stacks and clouds in the background. While waiting for the best color and clouds, an occasional wave reached me. Mostly the water was only a few inches deep which was no concern because I was wearing 18-inch high gum boots. However, twice the water became about a foot deep which was a bit of a concern because there was no where to go quickly enough to escape the water if it had become higher.
