Yesterday was one of the best days I've had photographing Mountain Goats on Mt. Evans. While the morning was cold and really windy, the goats were very photogenic. About six kids and two yearlings played and jumped on the rocks near the top of the mountain for about half an hour. In the image above, a yearling is jumping high into the air to get from one rock to another just to show off.

The afternoon was warm with a very light breeze which made our time with the goats most enjoyable. There was lots of interactions between the kids and nannies and kids and other kids. At one point, there were seven kids playing on one set of rocks — it was like a barrel of monkeys!
