We're camped near Mt. Evans, a fantastic place to photograph Mountain Goats and Bighorn Sheep, and at this time of year the kids and lambs. The road to the top of Mt. Evans (14,264 ft or 4348m) is the highest paved road in North America and makes the Alpine environment very easy to access.

Yesterday was our first time to the top of Mt. Evans this year, and the Mountain Goats were exactly where they were supposed to be. Unfortunately, they weren't doing anything particularly photogenic. There's never a shortage of subjects on Mt. Evans, and I spent some time with this Yellow-Bellied Marmot among the rocks.
