Swift Foxes in the Pawnee National Grassland, Colorado

Yesterday was probably the best day of Swift Fox photography that we've ever had! It started with a great morning where we photographed lots of vixen-kit interaction (above), nursing, and kits playing. I was also able to get the first good kit portraits of this visit. The kits were out for a total of about one hour and forty minutes in good light. :) Another of my favorite images from the morning is this one of a kit proudly carrying a Black-Tailed Prairie Dog leg.

The afternoon was also great. The kits were out for one hour and thirty-five minutes in decent light. We photographed them nursing and playing, and I also got some more nice kit portrait images.
