Yesterday was my first full day in the Pawnee National Grassland in north-eastern Colorado. I'm here mainly to photograph Swift Foxes, but the den where I've photographed them before doesn't appear to be occupied this year. So, I went in search of another den and photographed some other species while driving around including this Loggerhead Shrike.
