Mini Wave in Coyote Buttes Wilderness, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, Arizona

This image was taken at the "Mini Wave" in Coyote Buttes South three days ago. There is so much to see and photograph there, and one day wasn't nearly enough time. We'll definitely have to return.

We exited the wilderness yesterday so I could go to an emergency room to have my left knee examined. (You can read about the injury on the blog entry for February 21, 2012.) An x-ray showed that there were no fractures, so I was given an immobilizer (splint), a prescription for extra-strength ibuprophen, and told to rest the knee for several days. If it doesn't show improvement after that, then an MRI is in order to see what to do next.
