There were finally some nice clouds in the San Juan Basin yesterday, and I thoroughly enjoyed being able to work with them to make compositions. My favorite image is of some yellow hoodoos below a wonderful wispy cloud. The image was created from three captures to retain detail in the sky and foreground. Because the angle of view was so wide, the sky at the top of the frame was naturally darker than the sky above the horizon, so I used the longer exposures to lighten the top of the sky in addition to using the longest exposure for the foreground.
