I photographed this American Pika two days ago near Highwood Pass in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park. It was busy gathering food for the winter, and my favorite image is of it posing nicely on the rocks.

I processed the image using my new B&W layer technique, and "unfortunately" it helped. I had been hoping that the additional step would only be required for landscape images, but it looks like it'll become a normal part of my general image processing workflow because it really improves clarity.

Love these little guys, James -- What a super shot! And interesting processing; will give it a go myself. So glad you enjoyed my favorite park....
