We left blustery Glacier National Park two days ago and went to Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta. On our first evening in the park, we found a black bear sow with two cubs-of-the-year and a cinnamon black bear. They weren't very cooperative though. We didn't see any bears the following morning, but we saw the black bear sow with two cubs-of-the-year again, and we had an opportunity to photograph them as they came out into a small meadow by the road and then crossed the road. Unfortunately, the light was low and they didn't stop to pose. So, my favorite image of our stay so far in Waterton Lakes National Park is of a young Columbian ground squirrel prairiedogging.
