Continuing a look back at our trip to Alaska in 2009 …

Northern British Columbia along the Alaska Highway is a great place to see and photograph stone sheep. Stone sheep, Ovis dalli stonei, are similar to dall sheep, Ovis dalli, but they're gray instead of white. We had our best opportunities to photograph stone sheep in Muncho Provincial Park. Two lambs posed nicely for us and then the ewes did the same (above).
