As I mentioned in the blog entry for yesterday, Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in New Mexico is great for photographing not just sandhill cranes and snow geese. While set up near the Farm Deck to photograph some snow geese, a female northern harrier flew over several times much higher than I've usually seen them. On one pass, she flew nearly overhead and I captured the image above.
